The input reactor is subject to series connection at the input side of power incoming line and frequency converter, which is used to inhibit higher-order harmonics of the input current. It restricts impact on frequency converter from surge voltage caused by grid voltage sudden change and switching overvoltage, which effectively protects the rectifier unit of the frequency converter, improves imbalance of three-phase power supply, and improves power factor of the input power.
The output reactor is arranged at the circuit between the output side of the frequency converter and the motor, which is used to make compensation for influence of distributed capacitance of long line, effectively inhibits harmonic wave output by the frequency converter, and reduces noise from the frequency converter; it reduces du/dt on the motor terminal and lowers the peak value of the load current, so as to avoid premature aging of motor insulation and damage to the motor and frequency converter.
